The Texel Group launches Green Impact Investment Contribution initiative
(LONDON, U.K.) 5th April 2022 – The Texel Group (‘Texel’) is pleased to announce today the launch of its global Green Impact Investment Contribution (GIIC) initiative, focusing on green and true carbon negative transactions.
Texel has always placed the utmost importance on corporate social responsibility whether through employee welfare, the work of the Texel Foundation, and, most recently, the development of a fully integrated environmental strategy. The GIIC initiative forms part of this strategy and acts as a mechanism for investing into an environmentally-focussed impact investment portfolio – promoting a universally virtuous investment circle.
Through the GIIC all net profit earned by Texel from sustainable transactions will be invested into an environmentally focused impact investment portfolio managed by award-winning impact wealth manager Tribe Impact Capital.
Tribe is the UK’s first dedicated Impact Wealth Manager and offers discretionary and advisory portfolio management. Tribe was set up with a clear goal: to help those who invest with them to achieve financial returns but also to bring about positive change for people and planet. This means they only run portfolios for positive, sustainable impact. Tribe is a proud certified B Corps which means everything they do balances purpose and profit.
“The Group is delighted and proud to launch this initiative which is indicative of our commitment as an organisation to integrate ESG standards to our work and everyday lives,” said Matthew Riley, Director and Chief Operating Officer at The Texel Group. “Tribe Impact Capital’s company ethos is reflective of Texel’s values and investment goals and we are confident in the impact they will be able to have alongside our GIIC initiative.”
