Texel Asia grows its broking team

The Texel Group (“Texel”), the leading independent credit and political risk insurance broker, today announces two experienced hires to its Singapore office. Jamie Stork joined as an associate director on 22nd September and Brandon Woo will join on 3rd November as a broker. Both report to Angela Chang, managing director of Texel Asia. These appointments reflect our ongoing investment into specialist talent to support growing interest for credit and political risk insurance amongst Asia Pacific clients.

Prior to Texel, Jamie spent eight years at Marsh/JLT where he was most recently vice president – structured credit and political risk. He began his career at JLT in the London office before moving to Singapore with Marsh in 2023.

Brandon Woo is joining from WTW where he has been for nearly seven years. He entered the industry in  2019 and became divisional director for Financial Solutions, Asia Pacific in March 2024. Prior to WTW, Brandon was a financial planning consultant at AXA.

Jamie commented: “I am delighted to have joined a company synonymous with excellence, creativity and innovation. Texel’s reputation speaks volumes and its growth ambitions make it a great time to have joined the team.”

Angela Chang, managing director of Texel Asia, said: “We have been steadily adding to our team over the past 12 months to support our growth ambitions in the region, and it is great to be entering the final quarter of 2025 with another two experienced hires in the form of Jamie and Brandon. This makes Texel Asia one of the best resourced broker teams in this specialist insurance sector.

Our offering is only as good as our people which is why we focus on attracting specialist and diverse people; people who see things differently but embody key traits like compassion, collaboration and creativity. Jamie and Brandon are both well respected, energetic and entrepreneurial brokers, who embody the attributes that make us Texelians. They bring specialist skillsets to the team that will enable us to continue delivering advice and solutions that set the standard for our industry.”
